To the Journal editor:
In response to the recent national tragedy in Connecticut, I would like to offer my own personal thoughts on resolving the crisis our country faces in dealing with these continuous tragedies.
I am a conservative American. I would support some efforts at gun control in our country, provided other issues are addressed with the same efforts and diligence as gun control.
These issues to be addressed would include: a serious effort to control violence on TV, a serious effort to limit and control violence in video games, a serious effort to limit and control violence on computer games, a serious effort to revamp and improve our mental health system/services, and lastly but by far most importantly, a serious and concerted effort to end the secular effort to remove God from our culture.
Any efforts at legislation by any of our politicians or leadership that does not address the above issues is nothing more than smoke and mirrors, and posturing for the next election.
I continue to pray for our culture and our future. I fear we are in deep trouble.
