MARQUETTE - Next week's annual Marquette Senior High School alumni hockey game will be a fundraiser for Redmen hockey and also for other area nonprofit groups.
The game, to pit a pair of alumni teams against each other, is set for 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.
Spectators will be asked for a $2 donation to watch a game pitting past players on teams to be coached by current MSHS coach Mike L'Huillier and past coach Joe Papin.
At the game, old jerseys will be for sale and a 50-50 drawing held, with a postgame gathering set for the Casa Calabria.
Nonprofit groups from the area are invited to set up a table or booth at the arena that evening. For more information or to reserve a spot, call MSHS athletics at 225-5362.
Marquette alumni interested in playing in the game can call Kevin Thomsen at 273-1700. Cost is $20 for players chosen for one of the teams.
