To the Journal editor:
Has anyone ever met, or heard of any of the anti-union people ever refusing any of the benefits that the collective bargaining on the unions has won for the working people? Not only have they not refused any increase in wages, but they gladly accepted the safer working conditions. Helmet laws were not the idea of employers. OSHA laws that guarantee a safe working habitat.
Laws that make employers provide proper guards in dangerous machinery prohibit child labor and all earned by worker union dues, fighting industries and employers who are concerned with only the profit margin.
Talk about free loaders. Non-union workers are the biggest bunch of all.
