To the Journal editor:
For a number of years when I met former students who were back in the community during the holiday season, many of them expressed an interest in finding an opportunity to visit with one another and friends in the community
Other members of the Marquette Area Public School Education Foundation had heard the same and we decided to help facilitate a gathering of alumni and perhaps establish a tradition that everyone can enjoy and count on being in place for future years.
MAPS Foundation, in cooperation with the Landmark Inn, is hosting a Holiday Homecoming on Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 6:30 p.m. at the Inn.
The foundation is helping to facilitate a place and time for the graduates of Marquette Senior High School, Graveraet, J.D. Pierce and Bishop Baraga to gather and socialize with no other obligation.
This evening is for recent grads, long-time alumni, graduates living in the area and alum coming back to visit for the holidays.
You are all welcome to visit with one another and share in the spirit of the holidays and enjoy the fun of reconnecting with one another.
We hope you take the opportunity to stop by and visit.
Tom Baldini, president
