MARQUETTE - The City of Marquette Arts and Culture Center is seeking artists for the annual "Shots and Stories" exhibit. The show will be on display in the Marquette Arts and Culture Center's workshop room 3 for the month of February. Photographers who are interested in telling stories about their work may submit their work to this non-juried show. There is no submission fee.

Photographers may submit up to four pieces, which must be matted or framed and ready to hang with wire. A 300 to 600 word story about the photo must accompany each photograph, explaining how it is meant to make the viewer feel or why the shot is important to the photographer. The story must be mounted on sturdy cardstock that can be adhered to the wall.

Artwork should arrive at the MACC between 2 and 9 p.m. on Jan. 23 and 24, and between 1 and 6 p.m. on Jan. 25. The show will be displayed through the end of February. An opening reception from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 7 will coincide with the February gallery opening.
