NEGAUNEE - A balanced scoring attack and a second quarter offensive surge carried the Negaunee High School boys basketball team to a 64-45 non-conference win over visiting Kingsford on Tuesday night.
Eric Lori paced four Miners in double figures with a career-high 17 points. Tyler Jandron scored 13, Brock Weaver netted 11 and Tanner Uren chipped in 10.
"We distributed the ball well and played good team defense," NHS head coach Mike O'Donnell said after his team improved to 3-0 overall with the help of a 24-10 second quarter explosion.

"We went on a 16-0 run and broke the game open," he said of the surge.
Caleb Harrington tossed in nine points to lead the Flivvers (1-2).
Manistique 68, Newberry 59
Coby Ryan (18) and Zach Lambert (16) combined to score 34 points and lead Manistique to a non-conference victory over the host Newberry Indians on Tuesday night.
With the triumph, the Emeralds move to 1-2 on the season.
Darik Marsh and Kyle Welte tossed in 15 points apiece for Newberry (0-3).
