To the Journal editor:
On Wednesday, the Northern Michigan University Music Department presented a concert of the music of Andrew Lloyd Webber at Reynolds Recital Hall.
We are grateful for the large audience but very sorry that patrons had to be turned away. Even more regretfully, some people had to be relocated from locations not allowed by fire code.
The department has not used a ticketing system for events at RRH since they are presented without charge and audiences have not exceeded capacity.
Wednesday's overflow crowd reveals a need to review our procedures so the community can enjoy great music in this wonderful venue without such inconveniences.
We welcome your suggestions and comments.
