MARQUETTE - Junior Christian Jessie of the Northern Michigan University football team has been selected to the 2012 Daktronics Inc. All-Super Region Four first team.
A native of downstate Grand Rapids, Jessie, was the return specialist selection as he led the GLIAC in kick return yards (1,056) and average return yards (28.6).
He broke a Superior Dome record with a 99-yard kickoff return against Ferris state University in the final game of the season.
Jessie also finished the season with a team-leading 501 receiving yards on 33 catches. He led the team with eight touchdowns on six receiving, one rushing and the kick return.
