Venting on a Monday:
There were three complete divisions - 1, 3 and 4 - that consisted entirely of private school matchups.
Why doesn't the MHSAA just have a tournament for private schools? Public schools from small districts just can't compete when they can't recruit like the private schools in large districts.
Surely there's some way for the two sides to reach an agreement. Since this lockout is all about power and who wields it, however, it's not likely a compromise will be reached anytime soon.
The whole situation reeks.
The team is young, but Greg Monroe, Brandon Knight and even No. 1 draft pick Andre Drummond have some talent. So do Rodney Stuckey and Kyle Singler.
The Pistons' early six-game road trip to the West Coast didn't allow the team to see success early, but 3-11? C'mon man.
The Wildcats work hard, but need that extra dose of confidence to turn the corner. A few more goals would help.
The Spartans have lost too many close games this season. Cousins would not have let that happen with his knack for late-game heroics.
The team probably would have lost a couple of close decisions this season, but five by four points or less? Yikes.
You can't challenge a scoring play - the NFL automatically reviews touchdowns - and Swartz should have known that rule.
A missed field goal, passes that weren't caught and a missed interception opportunity all cost the inept Lions.
It's all too familiar.
