"After the Christmas tree is lit, guests will be free to enter the mall for photos with Santa (families ca also take their own pictures) and enjoy free hot chocolate and cookies inside the mall compliments of Beanarella's Coffeehouse and Huron Mountain Bakery," said LeAnne Kachmarski of the township events committe in a news release. "Ishpeming's Bill Richards will have his beautiful Pheordes horses on hand to give free horse-drawn wagon rides for the family."

A sheriff's deputy will be patrolling the ceremony with reports surfacing the Grinch may be on the loose in the township, "disrupting the Christmas spirit and looking to prevent the tree lighting ceremony."
