MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan junior outside hitter Lina Lopes and the teammate who set her up - junior setter Kellisha Harley - both were honored as All-GLIAC volleyball first-team selections over the weekend while NMU junior outside hitter Kalli Herron was an honorable mention.
Lopes led the NMU offense with 379 kills and her average of 3.06 kills per set was good for ninth in the GLIAC. Lopes also finished with 45 aces and 312 digs.
Harley, who transferred to NMU this season to replace former two-time all-conference first-team setter Abby Lovell, totaled 1,290 assists to lead the GLIAC. It's the 10th most assists in school history. Her 10.29 assists per set average ranked second in the GLIAC.
Herron was second on NMU in kills with 360. She was also second on the team in blocks with 83.
NMU finished the year 20-12 overall and 12-6 in the GLIAC.
