NEGAUNEE - An Ishpeming man was arrested after being involved in a two-vehicle personal injury crash Monday in Negaunee.
The incident occurred around 3 p.m. on the corner of Baldwin Avenue and U.S. 41. A 2003 Ford F-250 driven by a 31-year-old Ishpeming man - who is not being named by The Mining Journal as he has not been arraigned - was headed west on U.S. 41 when he pulled into the left turn lane. The driver failed to yield to oncoming traffic causing a 2006 Buick four-door driven by Robert Morrison of Negaunee to hit him, said Negaunee Police Chief Jay Frusti.
According to Frusti, prior to the crash a report was made to be on the lookout for a drunk driver heading west on U.S. 41. The suspect vehicle was the truck involved in the accident.
