MARQUETTE - The Wells Fargo Girls U14 hockey team opened its season in the annual Ice Breaker Cup tournament in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario the weekend of Nov. 2-4.
The squad went 0-2-2 in pool play before bowing out in the semifinals to the eventual tournament champs from the Sault.
Scoring for Marquette were Lexi Anderson with four goals and Kailey Godfrey with a single tally.
Drawing assists were Lexi White with a pair, Lexi Rabitaille, Ashley Francis, Paris Wegleitner, Hannah Swajanen and Chantel LaBlonde.
Briana Holman played in net all five games, making 60 saves.
