First Nations Food Taster at NMU

MARQUETTE - The 12th annual First Nations Food Taster at Northern Michigan University will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Jacobetti Complex. Featured will be traditional and contemporary dishes, along with recipes using ingredients on the master food list associated with the Decolonizing Diet Project at NMU.

The event is also a fundraiser for the annual powwow hosted by the Native American Student Association. Advance tickets cost $5 for NMU students, $12 for the general public, and may be purchased at the NMU Center for Native American Studies, 112 Whitman Hall. Cost at the door will be $7 and $15, respectively.
