MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University will hold several events in November celebrating Native American Heritage Month, beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday with the presentation "Those Who Sustain Us: Native Cultures and Foods" by author and musician Joseph Bruchac in Mead Auditorium in the West Science Building.
The 12th annual First Nations Food Taster will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday in the Jacobetti Complex. Advance tickets cost $5 for NMU students, $12 for the general public. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $7 and $15, respectively.
