Sentinel Pee Wees sweep at home

MARQUETTE - The City Insurance Sentinels Pee Wee AA hockey team of Marquette swept the Keweenaw Storm, 7-3 and 7-1, Saturday at Lakeview Arena.

In the first game, Daunte Fortner scored twice and had an assist as the Sentinels improved to 12-4 this season. Nate Bordson, Tanner Phillips, Alec Beauchamp, Ethan Jones and Kobie Guidebeck also scored for the Sentinels, with Bordson getting two assists and Phillips and Luke Beerman one each. Goalie Tyler Bergwall made 13 saves for Marquette.

In Game 2, Fortner scored four goals while Bordson added two and Beerman one. Sean O'Connor picked up two assists and Beerman, Beauchamp, Phillips, Reece Fortner and Alec Olivier had one apiece. Bergwall turned aside 23 saves to earn this win in net.

The Sentinels will travel to Duluth, Minn., this weekend for the Duluth Invitational.
