Library to screen Honor Flight film

MARQUETTE - DocuMonday will present a screening of "Honor Flight Michigan: The Legacy Documentary" at 7 p.m. Monday in the Peter White Public Library Community Room in Marquette.

Library offering Game Day

MARQUETTE - As part of International Game Day, Peter White Public Library will offer Gaming Day Sunday in the library's Community Room. Book Trivia for ages 11 and older will begin at 2 p.m., and family board games will begin at 3 p.m. Some game boards will be provided, however families may bring their own board games.

Virtual cemetery tour offered

NEGAUNEE - The Negaunee Historical Society will be presenting a virtual cemetery tour at 6:30 p.m. Sunday in the Fellowship Hall at Immanuel Lutheran Church, U.S. 41 and Baldwin Avenue. The program will include a Power Point presentation with information on biographies on Henry Tavajarvi, Eino Tenhunen, and the Revs. Herman Matero and Ahti Karjala. Guests will see how the family trees have grown into the third and fourth generations of residents now living in the Negaunee area.

Biz After Hours scheduled

MARQUETTE - River Valley Bank will host a Business After Hours, in conjunction with the Lake Superior Community Partnership from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at River Valley Bank, 1140 W. Washington St. in Marquette.

Spanish play reading at NMU

MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University's Hispanic Theatre Performance class will perform Mexican playwright Alberto Lomnitz's play La juez pequena ("The Little Judge") at 4:30 p.m. Monday, in Jamrich 102. The class will perform a staged reading of the play in Spanish, accompanied by English subtitles. The estimated time of performance is 40 minutes.

Jazz trio to perform Wednesday

MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University's music department will host a jazz trio concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Reynolds Recital Hall. Musicians include jazz band director Mark Flaherty on the cornet, local guitarist Dave Ziegner and NMU senior Harry South on the bass guitar. The trio will feature a variety of standards by composers Duke Ellington, Charlie Parker, Hoagy Carmichael and Antonio Carlos Jobim. Admission is free and open to the public.
