ISHPEMING, Mich. - Agnes Margaret Arseneau 81, of Ishpeming, passed away Thursday morning at her home surrounded by her loving family and the Lake Superior Hospice.

Born January 23, 1931, in Ishpeming, the daughter of George and Margaret (Morin) Junak, she was a graduate of Ishpeming High School and was a lifelong area resident. She worked at the H.W. Gossard Company and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Agnes will be remembered as a loving wife, devoted mother, and exceptional hostess. She was strong in faith and spirit and generosity and will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Pius, who she married October 27, 1951, at St. John's Catholic Church; 6 sons: Larry Arseneau of Ishpeming, Terry (Jeanne) Arseneau of Dansville, Gary Arseneau of Ishpeming, Jerry (Darlene) Arseneau of Ishpeming, Barry (Ronalyn) Arseneau of Champion, and Cary (Emily) Arseneau of Negaunee; 1 daughter: Paula (Jeffery) Nelson of Louis-ville, Colorado; 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Donald Junak of Macomb County and Roger Junak of Champion; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceeded in death by 2 brothers, George and Robert.

Funeral services will be held Monday 11 AM at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father James Challancin and her brother, Deacon Donald Junak to officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church with burial in Northland Chapel Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to St. Joseph Catholic Church or to Lake Superior Hospice.

The Racine Funeral Chapel of Ishpeming is assisting the family.
