Hyde for judge

November 2, 2012
The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

I have worked for George Hyde as his paralegal/office manager for the last four years. During my employment with George, I have witnessed first-hand how tirelessly he works for his clients, and his direct involvement with the Probate Court. During my employment, I have received numerous telephone calls, letters, and cards from both juveniles and parents alike that have appeared before George as the juvenile referee in the probate court. Each person left messages for George thanking him for positively changing their lives because of his compassionate, hard-working attitude he put forth with each and every one of their cases.

In addition to the calls I have answered thanking George for his service in the probate court, I have also taken many telephone calls from the probate court staff asking if George can cover hearings when the judge is unavailable. He is always willing to help out and do what is needed to make sure those hearings and the people affected by them are heard.

George always goes the extra mile to help out in these situations, and that is why he would make a great judge for Marquette County. On a more personal note, other than my time working for George in an office setting, I have had the pleasure of becoming acquainted with him and his family. George is a family-oriented man and nothing is more important to him than his daughter, Alli, and his wife Vicki. It has been a pleasure seeing the interactions between those three, and the absolute devotion he has to them. A man like that, to me, is a man that should be the next probate judge.

George is the most compassionate, natural, and qualified candidate for Marquette County's next probate judge. As much as I will miss working for him, if he is elected to this position, he is the rightful candidate to serve Marquette County.
