MARQUETTE, Mich. - Rosa Marie Cuyler, age 89, of Marquette, entered eternal life Saturday evening, October 27, 2012, at the Norlite Nursing Center.
Rosa was born April 28, 1923 in Austria, a daughter of Friedrich and Rosa (Jungmayer) Hufnagl, and was educated there. She married William E. Cuyler on March 17, 1946 while he was serving in the U.S. Army. A Marquette resident since 1948, the couple built their home on West Ridge Street and it was there she enjoyed gardening, helping the neighborhood children, feeding the wild animals, and knitting, particularly afghans, for family and friends. She also enjoyed spending time at their camp on the Dead River.
Rosa is survived by her sons, David Cuyler of Niles and Edward (Penny) Cuyler of Marquette; grandson, Brad (Melissa) Cuyler of Negaunee; sister-in-law, Jean Daugherty of Lake Orion; several nieces, nephews; her grand dog, Willi and grand cats, Grady and Tigger. Rosa was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Bill.

Friends may call at the Swanson-Lundquist Funeral Home on Thursday, November 1st at 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 6:00 p.m. Rev. Leon Jarvis, Marquette General Hospital chaplain, will preside.
