MARQUETTE - The Marquette Electricians Local 1070 Midget AAA hockey team pulled out a tie Friday night before losing Saturday afternoon against the Thunder Bay Kings in a Northern Lakes Hockey League series.

The three-game set concludes at 10 a.m. today at Lakeview Arena in Marquette.

On Friday, Marquette (0-16-4) tied Thunder Bay 2-2 as Nicholas Franze and Kyle Yates scored third-period goals to erase the visitors' 1-0 lead at the start of the period.

Assists on the goals were credited to Jacob Peterson, Hayden Rajala and Mike House.

On Saturday, the Electricians lost 5-3 as Thunder Bay got the only two goals of the first period. The teams each scored twice in the second period and once in the third as Marquette goalie Bryce Leaf made 26 saves and his teammates totaled 25 shots.

Levi Wunder scored twice for the home team with House getting the other goal plus an assist. Other assists were credited to Peterson, Jordan Frazier, Torrin Grange, Ethan St. Germain and Eric Chapman as Marquette scored the only power-play goal with each team getting five chances.
