Hyde has support

October 25, 2012
The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

As an attorney in our community for the past 14 years, I have, on many occasions, worked with attorney George Hyde. I have worked beside him on cases, been involved in matters were I represented a client whose interests were adverse to Hyde's client, and have appeared before him in his capacity as our juvenile court referee.

In all of these experiences, Hyde has presented himself in a highly professional manner. In his professional role as an Attorney, he has committed himself tirelessly and completely to representing the best interests of his clients.

He has always conducted himself in a manner that demonstrated the highest level of respect for his clients, those appearing before him, other attorneys and his profession.

As a school board member, I am witness to critical issues facing certain members of our youth population and I am concerned for these children. Serving as our county's probate court juvenile referee, George Hyde has demonstrated a strong willingness, commitment, and capacity to deal evenly and fairly with children who find themselves involved with the court system. He has made a positive and lasting impact on the lives of troubled youth in our county.

Hyde was appointed to the juvenile referee position by our now retiring probate court Judge Michael Anderegg over 10 years ago. Hyde's record as juvenile referee makes him highly qualified to serve our community as probate judge.

It is for these reasons that I will cast my vote on Nov. 6 for George Hyde for Marquette County's Probate Court judge.
