ISHPEMING - With pizza, soda, bounce houses, slides and other fun to be had, Wyatt's World is a fun and safe place for kids to have a party.
"It's more than just for birthdays," said owner Michelle Niemi. "It's a place for any party you want for your kids."
You may have noticed the building with it's new window sign on Main Street near Hematite Drive. Wyatt's World is a brand new business that is just starting off and opens on Nov. 1 but reservations can be made now for parties in November or later.
Wyatt’s World offers a fun and safe place where children 2 to 14 years old can have any kind of party. Soda, pizza, goodie bags, cups, plates, napkins, silverware and balloons are provided.
"I figure if a kid had a party here or attended a party here, they're going to want to come back," Niemi said.
The building looks smaller on the outside then what it is on the inside. When you walk in the front door your eyes are met with walls painted in fun colors in the main room. If you keep on walking through onto the back you'll find an entire room filled with bounce houses, an inflatable obstacle course and slide.
"There will always be someone in the back regulating what's going on," Niemi said. "That person will handle things like kids pushing or too many kids being in the bounce houses."
As of right now, Wyatt's World is for scheduled parties only but may in the future open bounce times throughout the month, Niemi said.
"It all depends on the community's interest on what we do and what this business becomes," Niemi said. "If there's a lot of interest from the public for that sort of thing then we may consider doing it in the future for the older kids."
Wyatt's World accepts parties for children ages 2 to 14 years. There is a toddler space in the front where the younger children can play, eat food, watch Disney movies and just have fun, she said.
The price of a party at Wyatt's World is $250. That includes two large, one-topping Pizza Hut pizzas, two two-liters of soda, a goodie bag for each guest, cups, plates, silverware, balloons, a variety of bounce houses and two hours of fun. Each party is allowed to have up to 10 guest and the facility can hold up to two parties at a time. Wyatt's World will work around any schedule.
The name Wyatt's World came from Niemi's 2-year-old grandson, whose name is Wyatt and picture is part of the logo.
"Any grandmother would give their grandchildren the world if they could," Niemi said.
Wyatt's World is holding an open house on Nov. 3 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the public to come in, have a look around and see what the business has to offer. Children are welcomed to come to the open house as well.
