To the Journal editor:
To vote in the Marquette Area Public School Board of Education election is important. To vote for write-in candidate Carrie Biolo is essential.
I went to school and graduated with Carrie Biolo from Marquette High School. I know that providing a quality educational experience to all K-12 students is the only reason that my friend has thrown her hat in the ring. Carrie has two children enrolled in MAPS and is the perfect person to represent the heart and soul of every parent with a child that attends school in Marquette.
Carrie is a professional musician and has an adoring love of music. She will fight for the arts. She will battle for the children. She will not just be a rubber stamp that will just vote on an issue without educating herself about it first.
Carrie will ask tough questions and while our school district battles the problems of re-alignment, millage proposals, and student-teacher ratios, she will also be one of the first to offer solutions based on resourcefulness and reason.
My friend Carrie is tough. My friend Carrie is smart. My friend Carrie is, well, a mom who loves her kids and isn't that who should be representing our children and families on a school board? On Nov. 6, please write-in my friend Carrie Biolo.
