Philosopher needed

October 19, 2012
The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

As our society has decayed over the last 35 years or so, and with national- level politicians unable and/or unwilling to transfer at least half of their political and social power directly to the American people, it may be time to consider a 360 degree turn in our thinking and consider putting a philosopher who possesses a high degree of wisdom into the White House. This proposal is made with a genuine and serious tone.

This is not a new idea. In ancient history the kings of the Roman, Greek and various other empires almost always had a philosopher who sat on the king's court. And many times it was the philosopher who had the most influence with the king or queen.

Without doubt embracing this idea will require a giant leap of faith on the part of legal American citizens, but after observing our culture for decades it has become apparent that this action is the only positive solution, versus continually listening to electing politicians who will never have any incentive to develop workable answers on their own, except for doing everything possible to hold on to their power over the American citizen.
