Trio scores 18 to lead Sodergren’s in Ishpeming

ISHPEMING - Sodergren's Septic used balanced scoring to slip past Tino's Bar and Pizza, 73-69, in Week 2 of the Ishpeming City Basketball League on Sunday.

The winners' Brad Waters, Brandon Lawson and Jamie Sundberg each scored 18 points in this Class A game, while Tino's Garrett Peck led all scorers with 23 points and teammate Chad Dellangelo added 17.

In another Class A game, Kurt Aho and Chris Carlson both scored 10 points to lead Buck's Sub Shop past Meyer Family Vision, 43-39. Mike O'Donald scored 13 points and Harley Clickner eight for Meyer.

In Class B, Ramada of Marquette moved to the top of the standings with a 41-35 win over Jeff's Glass. The winners' Zach Gauthier scored nine points while Justin Pope and Jody Nurmi each had eight. Jeff's Jake Zuegner led all scorers with 15 points, while teammate Jesse Zambon chipped in eight.

Kaleb Rudman scored 21 points and Andy Flanigan 20 to lead Culver's past Grandchamp, McBride & Prophet CPAs, 78-70. GMP's Jeremy Nelson was the league's overall top scorers with 25 points, while Jeff Martin added 17.

Jubilee Foods slipped past Holiday Gas Stations, 53-45, as the winners' Chad Hewitt scored 14 points and KC McCullough 13. Holiday's Dan Pellinen had 10 and Lonnie Hess nine.
