UPAWS offers adoption event

NEGAUNEE - The Upper Peninsula Animal Welfare Shelter will hold a "Treats No Tricks" adoption event from Thursday through Oct. 31. During this time, kitten adoptions will cost $45, cat adoptions $25 or less, and dog adoptions will be 25 percent off. The adoption fee includes spaying or neutering, a distemper vaccination, a rabies vaccination, a general health check, microchip, 30 days free pet insurance and a bag of Dr. Tim's pet food. The shelter is located at 84 Snowfield Road in Negaunee Township.
