Election topic of 2 talks

MARQUETTE - The Northern Michigan University President's Symposium will host two talks focusing on the upcoming November elections. Both events are free and open to the public. They will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. in Reynolds Recital Hall.

Steve Mitchell will present "A Pollster's Perspective on the 2012 Elections" Wednesday. Mitchell is president of Mitchell Research and Communications Inc., a company that deals with public relations, public affairs, marketing research, political polling and political consulting.

Craig Ruff will present "Examining Michigan's Ballot Issues One by One," Thursday, Oct. 25. Ruff is a senior policy fellow with the policy research firm Public Sector Consultants and a longtime Michigan executive office administrator.
