J-TAB to screen 'Nightmare'
MARQUETTE - The Peter White Public Library Junior Teen Advisory Board presents Tim Burton's "The Nightmare Before Christmas" at 4 p.m. Monday in the library's Community Room as part of the new "Middle School Monday Movie" series.

Concert at Reynolds Hall
MARQUETTE - Northern Michigan University's music department's three choral ensembles will perform a free concert at 3 p.m. Sunday in Reynolds Recital Hall in the C.B. Hedgcock Building.
Slide show at Carnegie
ISHPEMING - Kathy Geier will show slides and discuss her month-long pilgrimage on the Spanish Camino de Santiago de Compostela (the Way of St. James) at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Ishpeming Carnegie Public Library. The program, to be held in the Children's Room, is sponsored by the Friends of the Library, who will provide light refreshments.
Author Driscoll to visit NMU
MARQUETTE - Award-winning author Jack Driscoll will visit Northern Michigan University to read from his new book of short stories, "The World a Few Minutes Ago." The reading will begin at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the Charcoal Room of the University Center. It is free and open to the public. Driscoll will be available for a question-and-answer session and a book signing after his presentation.
Light refreshments will be served.
