MARQUETTE, MI. - Vince was born April 4, 1946 in Lansing, MI. He died on August 16, 2012 in Marquette at the age of 66, in the loving care of the staffs of Norlite Nursing Center and Lake Superior Hospice.

Vince grew up in DeWitt (MI); he attended DeWitt High school, Michigan State University and graduated from Northern Michigan University. He was a long time resident of Marquette.

He served in the USAF (1969-73), stationed at K.I. Sawyer in Gwinn, and continued there as a civilian employee until his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter Ann (Eric) Brandon and granddaughter Alli Jo, of Herrin, IL; sisters Bethany Gage of Charlotte, NC, and Faith Reed of DeWitt; Pat Miller of Clarksville (MI); Bob Plominski of FL; along with many other family members, neighbors and friends in Marquette.

Vince enjoyed his pets (dogs, birds, and fish), flower gardens and all kinds of natural beauty. He had a special love and talent for music and played the piano, organ and saxophone. He participated in the Negaunee Male Chorus, the "Close Shaves" barbershop quartet, and the choir at St Paul's Episcopal Church in Marquette where he was an active member for many years and which held a special place in his heart.

Vince's life will be celebrated at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Saturday, October 13, with the service beginning at 2:30 pm.

Friends are invited to gather with family from 1:30 to start of service. A reception will be held immediately following in the Great Room of St. Paul's.

Contributions in Vince's memory may be given to the Memorial Fund of St. Paul's or to Lake Superior Hospice.
