VALLEY FORGE, Penn. - Rebecca Richards of Marquette was recently accepted into the John Jay Institute in Philadelphia.
As a fellow. Richards will participate in an academic study of political theory, constitutional law, history, theology, philosophy and ethics, and examine the influence of these subjects upon leadership in American society.
Richards is an honors graduate of Spring Arbor University, where she received a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2011. During her undergraduate studies, Richards completed an independent project on American Cultural Values for which she received The Earhart Foundation Emerging Scholars Award, and spent time as a Wilbur Fellow at the Russell Kirk Center for Cultural Renewal.
Richards plans to pursue a master's degree in Public Policy.
The John Jay Institute is a faith-based, intercollegiate organization dedicated to preparing leaders for public service.
