History center receives recognition

The Marquette Regional History Center was recently recognized by the Marquette Downtown Development Authority for its vision, commitment and investment in the development of the Marquette Regional History Center at 145 W. Spring St. Shown at a recent plaque presentation are, from left: Cristine Osier, fundraising manager at the center; Kaye Hiebel, executive director; Mona Lang, executive director of the DDA; and Marquette City Commission member Fred Stonehouse. A private not-for-profit organization, the Marquette Regional History Center undertook a $3.8 million project to renovate an underused downtown building into a 30,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility.
