Literacy program awards presented

Father Marquette Elementary School recently held an assembly when students in pre-kindergarten through fourth grade were chosen to receive awards for their reading participation in the Summer Literacy Program sponsored by the school. Medals were presented to those students who read the most minutes in their grade. In photo above, from left, are: Josie Danielkiewicz, fourth grade; Caden Bouws, third grade; Michael Mankee, second grade; Amelia Bouws, first grade; Sophia Copuana, kindergarten; and Jacob Walker, pre-kindergarten. In photo below, student whose names were drawn to receive baskets containing items having to do with literacy are, from left, Sophia Copuana, Ivy Oswald and Sam McKnight.
