ST. PAUL, Minn. - Juniors Mallory Celaya and Mandy Dye led the Northern Michigan University cross country team to a ninth-place showing in the Maroon Division of the University of Minnesota Roy Griak Invitational at the Les Bolstad Golf Course in St. Paul, Minn.
Celaya, the reigning GLIAC Runner of the Week, posted the top time for the Wildcats of 23 minutes, 36.6 seconds. Right behind her was Dye in 23:43.2 as the two finished 28th and 33rd overall, respectively.
Also for NMU, freshman Megan Edic took 58th in 24:09.5, sophomore Larissa Halonen was 72nd in 24:22.5 and freshman Mary Kate Cirelli took 79th in 24:24.6.
The 'Cats finished with 270 points while Colorado Springs won the Maroon Division of mostly NCAA Division II schools with 119 points.
