MARQUETTE - Upfront & Company in downtown Marquette will close its doors indefinitely Sunday morning for renovations, according to Upfront management staff.

Assistant Manager Mike Walker said management was informed of the decision Monday and the rest of the staff - which numbers around 70 people - was informed Wednesday evening.

He said he was not told what renovations would take place, nor when they were scheduled to begin or end.

Walker said all current banquet hall reservations would still be honored.

"That's of the utmost importance, to make that clear," Walker said.

A call placed Wednesday to Upfront General Manager Jon Ruuska was not returned by press time today.

Calls to several other Upfront managers were also not returned by press time.
