MARQUETTE - The Marquette County Horse Club will host a fundraiser to benefit Pipers Rescue Ranch Saturday in Wallace. The event will begin with a 10 a.m. Poker Run Trail Ride (on horses), which costs $20. A meet and greet with Carrie will take place at 3 p.m. A 6:30 p.m. pig roast dinner (for a $10 donation) will be followed by a silent auction and raffle. the evening will end with a dance at 7:30 p.m.
Funday Classes will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 30 at the Marquette County Fairgrounds. Cost is $2 per class or $20 for over 15 classes. For more information, call 906-361-4655.
Pipers Rescue Ranch is a nonprofit organization run and maintained by one person, with the help of many volunteers. It is one of the few "no kill" shelters in the area.
