HARRIS - This was not the same Superior Central team that reached the quarterfinals of the Articatz Autumn Classic in Marquette on Saturday, but it made little difference to Bark River-Harris.
The Broncos took advantage of early errors by SC and took victories in the first two sets en route to a four-game, 25-20, 25-19, 19-25, 25-16, Central U.P. Conference victory on Tuesday evening.
The Cougars came out aggressively, but their aim was off as at least half a dozen balls went out of bounds, helping the Broncos run off six-point serving runs by Kortney Jenshak and Mariah St. John.
Kelsey Coleman led the Cougars on offense with 11 kills while Mikayla Barrows and Teslyn Tyner each had five.
"Mikayla is a little inconsistent, but when she hits it, look out," Superior Central coach Kris Bray said. "She usually doesn't hit them sharply down like she did tonight. They're usually out to the middle of the court.
"All my girls are capable of hitting well, they're just never all hot at the same time. If they were, we'd be unbeatable."
