NATIONAL MINE, Mich. - Marian A. 'Toddy' Baldini, 60, of 4395 County Road PD, National Mine, died at home at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 15, 2012 with her family by her side.
Marian was born August 5, 1952 in Ishpeming to Carl E. and Henrietta (Barbano) Saari, was raised in Negaunee and was a graduate of Negaunee High School, Class of 1970. She earned an Associate Degree in Journalism in Milwaukee. Marian lived in Georgia for 22 years and returned to this area in August of 1995. She worked for many years as a waitress at the Big Boy Restaurant in Marquette.
Mrs. Baldini was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Negaunee and the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community. She loved to travel and had been to many worldwide destinations. She loved animals, especially dogs.
Surviving are her husband Timothy J. Baldini, 2 sons: Todd (Melina Hill) Kirkland of Cameron, N.C. and Zachery (Aki Kochi) Kirkland of Ann Arbor, one granddaughter, Miranda Kirkland. She was preceded in death by her father in 1992 and her mother in 2006.
A celebration of Marian's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the Ishpeming V.F.W.
