MARQUETTE, Mich. - Michele LaJeunesse, age 56, of 331 County Road 550, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, September 15, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital.

Born July 20, 1956 to Ernest and Margaret (Dupras) Paquette, she was a lifelong Marquette resident. After high school, Michele explored various positions in different fields before beginning a life long career in banking, most recently holding a supervisor position at Range Bank. Michele was an extremely family oriented person, selfless in everything she did, and always putting friends and family before herself. She was a loving supporter of her children and grandchildren, in whatever they did. In addition to her family, Michele had a great love for animals, especially her dog Kia, whom she walked often. She enjoyed playing cards, mainly, Pinochle. Her family thought of her as a wonderful cook, saying she made the best chop suey; her cowboy cookies were pretty tasty as well. Michele was a gentle and loving soul and will be missed by many.

Michele is survived by her husband of 38 years, John; her daughter, Jessica (Tim) Batten of Stevens Point, WI; her son, Dan (Kristi) LaJeunesse of Plover, WI; her five grandchildren, Savannah LaJeunesse, Kaylin Batten, Cameron and Keegan LaJeunesse and Logan Moe; sisters, Jayne Paquette of Marquette, Julie (Larry) DesParois of Marquette and Jill Paquette (Joe) Reid; brothers, Peter (JoAnn) Paquette of Chicago, IL, Paul (Cheryl) Paquette of Carpentersville, IL and Jacques Paquette (Sue Jones) of Skandia, MI; and her four legged furry friend, Kia.
