To the Journal editor:
Why hasn't U.S. Rep. Dan Benishek, R-Crystal Falls, held a town hall meeting here in Marquette? Is it too much to ask that elected officials set town hall meetings so that voters can get up close and personal?
It shouldn't matter whether I agree or disagree with a particular vote Benishek has made. We should be able to meet and converse.
What gives? How does this serve our democracy?
