MARQUETTE, MI. - Rhea R. Pringle, age 77, of Marquette, passed away Friday morning, September 14, 2012, at Marquette General Hospital in the loving care of her family. Rhea was born August 30, 1935, in Marquette, to Harold and Minnie (Baja) Hoff. After high school, Rhea held several housekeeping positions; she worked a few years at St. Luke's Hospital, The Heritage House, and Getz's Department Store where she worked until her retirement. Rhea was a lifelong resident of Marquette. One of her many interests included listening to Elmer Aho's radio show on Saturday nights. She loved ordering from various catalogues; it was the anticipation of knowing a package was on the way that made it so enjoyable for her. She took pleasure in traveling, especially on road trips to the 10th Mountain Division Army reunions with her husband Everett, in Colorado, and visiting Everett's brother in Texas. Rhea liked to dress up in nice clothes and go out. She was rather crafty, sewing many things over the years. Rhea was a quiet person and often kept to herself, but had a big heart and loved her children, grandchildren and family dearly. Survivors include her son, Mark (Carol) Pringle of Negaunee and daughter, Theresa Pringle of Marquette; grandchildren, Heather (Stefan) Mittelbraun, Amy (Tyson) Smith, and Beth Pringle; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Rhea was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Everett; a son, Jimmy; and nine sisters.
