To the Journal editor:
Do you folks remember learning about George Washington and his armies in your history class, crossing the Delaware River in mid-winter while starving, freezing and soaked to the bone in worn out boots, who in the end defeated the British to claim our independence?
We cannot know how much they suffered and died for our freedoms we have today. Now we have a chance to step out of our comfort zone for our wonderful U.S.
We have the opportunity to become informed about the life and times of Barack Obama which gives insight to his current actions and philosophies by attending the very objective documentary, "2016" playing at our local theater.
Regardless of your political affiliation, now is the time to know about our current president and to see if your way of thinking goes along with his plans for our country.
It is so important to choose our leaders wisely so this is one way to become informed. We must vote responsibly in November not only for ourselves, but for our children and grandchildren as well.
You won't have to starve and freeze like our forefathers, but take some time to see the documentary.
