Jamie Kitchel of Marquette was the recipient of the 2012 Hiawatha Music Co-op Youth/First Timer Scholarship to the Augusta Heritage Center in Elkins, W.V. She is shown with with master fiddler James Bryan, who she studied old-time Appalachian fiddling with. The center is known nationally and internationally for activities relating to traditional folk-life and folk arts of many regions and cultures with an emphasis on the Appalachian region.
