New Attitudes Dance Studio dancers participate in Thunderstruck

Students from New Attitudes Dance Studios participated in a Thunderstruck competition held in Green Bay, Wis., earlier this summer. Participating were: Front row, from left, Lexi Taavola, Kylie L'Huillier, Lauren Kuzawa and Skylar Taavola; and back row, from left, Macy Niemisto, Rylee Whitford, Paige Govern, Kylee Taavola, Katie Boyle, Sam Schwemin, Jayme L'Huillier, Addy Niemi, Morgan Messana, Katie Tourville and Logan Love. Participating but not pictured was Bailey Hendrickson. Thunderstruck is a regional and national level competition held in about 20 cities across the United States. Students in the group attending are part of a competition company that trains at the studio specifically to compete each year. The studio brought sixteen entries to the competition receiving gold, high gold, and lightning gold placements. They also received the overall high score awards for small group jazz and large group lyrical dance entries and many students received overall placement awards in the duo and solo categories.
