IRONWOOD, MI. - Mary Beltrame formerly of Gwinn, died at 7:45 AM on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Westgate Nursing Home in Ironwood where she spent the last few years of her life.
Mary was born on March 3, 1916 in Montreal Canada to Frank & Mary (Vannelli) Barbiere. Her family moved to Ishpeming when she was 3 years old & then moved to Gwinn when she was 12 where she resided for most of her life. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Gwinn for many years, she also belonged to the Alter Society at St. Anthony's Church, the Daughters of Isabella at St. Anthony's Church & was an active member of the Merry Mixers at the Gwinn Senior Center. Mary worked for H.W. Gossard in Gwinn as a seamstress becoming a floor manager with them until they closed their business operation in Gwinn.
Mary was preceded in death by her loving husband Joseph of 68 years, 3 sons; Thomas F, Joseph Jr., & Johnny; brother Sylvester (Frank) Barbiere, sister Madeline (Lal) ( Barbiere) Del Bello & 2 grandsons.
Surviving are her two daughters Patricia (Beltrame) Bertorello of Wakefield & Mary Lou (Beltrame) Larsen of Marquette; a brother Dominic Barbiere of Mqt., 2 sisters Annie (Kenneth) Larsen of Cheboygan & Antoinette Willette of Gwinn, 6 grand children & 12 great grand children.
A private graveside memorial service will be held at the Gwinn Cemetery officiated by Father Boyle of St. Anthony's Church in Gwinn on Tuesday, September 18th at 11:30 AM. Special thanks to all the incredible staff of the Westgate Nursing Home in Ironwood for their many years of loving care.
