MARQUETTE - The sale of Marquette General Hospital to Duke LifePoint has been approved by Michigan Attorney General Bill Schuette.
The sale, according to a AG written statement released Thursday afternoon, has a total value of $483 million. It accomplishes a series of specific goals including but not limited to allowing the facility to pay off all of its significant liabilities, providing funding for the hospital community foundation and setting aside hundreds of millions of dollars for hospital construction projects over the next decade.
