NEGAUNEE - Expansion work is under way at Super One Foods in Negaunee.
"We're adding checkouts and there will be a separate exit and entrance," store manager Kyle L'Huillier said. "We're expanding the parking lot and two loading docks are being added. The work is ongoing, but when it's done, we will be able to offer a lot more variety (in product), which is something our customers have been asking for."
Peninsula Bank will continue to have a branch in the building, which is located on U.S. 41, L'Huillier said.

"We're also going to have a larger beer and wine area," he said.
Work started a few weeks ago and is expected to be completed in March. The building, which originally was Russo's Supermarket, is being expanded in every direction.
Some changes also are taking place to the building next door to Super One, the Superior Iron Range Community Federal Credit Union.
"Our buildings in Negaunee and in Marquette are being painted," said Marie Molise, credit union branch administrator in Negaunee. "We wanted to do a facelift."
Landscaping work was done as well around the buildings.
Some landscaping was done at the Negaunee location, as well.
"We put an island in the back," Molise said. "We wanted to slow up traffic because people zip through there. We wanted to make things safer."
Molise said the work should be completed by the middle of this week.
