Who’s to blame?

August 16, 2012
The Mining Journal

To the Journal editor:

Pat Mahoney brought up some valid points regarding the governing of K.I. Sawyer. The way I see it, we have these condo things that have the bylaws that if enforced, would be a step to self-govern, sort of.

You still have to deal with the townhouses which is mostly not condo. We in the condo thing have a vote. Eighty-five percent rentals, 15 percent home owner.

Landlord's win the vote and they have sway over the boards to the degree that rules are overlooked in their favor. The boil houses that should not be here, are here because of the overlooking of a law that would benefit. It's hopeless.

The best I can hope for is to die in my sleep. Ten to 11:30 p.m. we have the barker, the train that crosses many intersections, the ambulance coming and going when people are sleeping and it states in the bylaws, no businesses in the condo thing.

Fireworks? Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. throw in the ATV's and bikes with the super load pipes, wheely's, two on, no helmets and it's whatever they want to do.

There's no governing in K.I. Sawyer. My God, they cut down medium posts at the cul-de-sac on Fury to access Martin Lake Road, across someone's lawn. Police use it, local ambulance and riff raff that just don't care. It's owned by a developer, so there.

There's been an effort to cut the grass ... It don't look bad out here. It looks neat. The grass is cut. It's been a comedy of errors that doesn't have the want or desire to correct itself. Talk about a Mobius circle.

Will we become our own city? It was addressed in 2007. We need more money and a pure political gene pool. So much for that. So you want to draw in some Area 51 spacecraft company with high paid employee's and where would they live?

By the shopette or better yet Albatross. Live entertainment and that ambulance will eventually be making a stop there next to the junkyard with the tires out front. I know. Some renter's are really good people. Really.

The problem with K.I. Sawyer falls right in the lap of you know who? Me, with my bad vibes. It should be that simple.
