Marquette Firefighters local 643 held its inaugural Firefighters 5K Charity Run/Walk recently, starting at the bell tower at Mattson Lower Harbor Park in Marquette. The race followed Marquette's bike path along the shore of Lake Superior and had nearly 200 participants. The funds raised will be donated to local organizations focusing on youth development and support. The overall male winner was Chris Bowler with Brie Rahoi taking first among females.
