ISHPEMING, MI. William C. Geller, age 73, of 200 Saginaw Street, Ishpeming, and former Marquette resident, entered eternal life Monday evening, August 6, 2012, at the Marquette County Medical Care Facility in Ishpeming.
Bill was born September 7, 1938, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, a son of Carl and Nina (Jones) Geller. He entered the US Air Force in 1955 and served 20 years until his retirement on October 31, 1975. Among the bases where Bill was stationed were Kincheloe AFB, Michigan, K.I.Sawyer AFB, Michigan, Izmir, Turkey, Unakaleet, Alaska, and Ellsworth AFB, South Dakota. Following his military retirement, Bill was employed as a salesman with Interstate Valweld from 1975 until he retired in 1995. Bill was a kind and generous man who was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone who needed it. He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life....such as spending time with his family and friends, tinkering in his garage, watching movies, fishing, bowling, the Green Bay Packers and going on an occasional trip to the casino.
Survivors include his daughters, Nikki (Pete) Ryerse of Big Bay and Cathy (Tony) Calo of Iron Mountain; a son, Bill (Lisa) Geller of Marquette; his seven grandchildren, Joe and Melissa Soetaert, Jason, Julia, and Sarah Calo, Jacob and Joanne Geller; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce (Ed) Bruski of Milwaukee, WI and Carol (Treve) Pascoe of Florida; and special friend, Janet Jackson.

A special thank you to all the caring staff at the MCMCF who so kindly took care of Bill while he was a resident there. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
